This is the 4th dance center we have tried – having danced my entire life – including being a member of the Towson University Dance Team and program. I love this program! I think that it teaches the children the fundamentals that they need before moving forward into other disciplines and does it in a fun fast paced environment. My daughter has danced at Cecil Dancenter for 13 years. I have watched her go from taking one class a week as a 3-year-old to now taking classes almost every day of the week in ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, pointe, tap and hip hop. The teachers at Cecil Dancenter are first rate. When my daughter has attended summer workshops and intensives, she has the technical ability to dance anywhere and with anyone and fit in comfortably. I attribute this to the training and confidence she has gained at Cecil Dancenter. I have attended many Cecil Dancenter recitals and performances over the years and I have found that they are always packed with proud families attending to watch their happy and talented children perform. Cecil Dancenter was my home away from home for fifteen years. I was just one out of six in my extended family to attend CDC. I danced at CDC from the age of 2, taking a dance basics class, to the age of 17 taking ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, modern, hip-hop, and lyrical. I also was privileged to have such a wonderful opportunity participating in the performing company's CJDT and CDT. Throughout all my time and experiences at CDC I encountered instructors who cared for their students like family, and irreplaceable friendships, as well as memories. I was blessed to be apart of the CDC family, and I know that I will always be welcome at CDC. I can proudly say that Cecil Dancenter is place that provides students with unique dance training, while teaching students to always have fun while living out their passion for dance.

"For eleven years Cecil Dancenter has been a major part of my life, and I could not have asked for a better place to dance. The teachers at CDC are all very skilled in their dance styles, and all have such a passion and love for what they do. It is at CDC that I made my second home. Not only did the teachers treat me like family, but so did the girls I danced with. Even if I was having the worst day, knowing that I would get to dance that night made everything better. On the dance floor I was able to forget all my problems. Whether we wanted to be professional dancers when we graduated, or if we just danced for the fun of it, we were always taught to just enjoy our love for dancing.
