Cecil Dance Theatre's reputation for providing excellent productions has grown at a rapid pace during the past few years, but like most performing arts organizations, only a small percentage of operating costs can be covered by ticket sales alone. A percentage of our financial obligations include backdrops, theatre rental, costumes, scenery and lighting design. Our dancers contribute by organizing and participating in fundraisers; however, the $30,000 per production expenses far exceed the profits from these endeavors.
Cecil Dance Theatre depends primarily on community support; therefore, if you are pleased with our philosophy and goals, and you are thrilled with the amazing family productions that we bring to the stage, please help. There are many avenues to suit your budget and needs, from advertising in our show programs to offering prizes for our raffle fundraisers we will gladly accept any support from the community to continue providing our dancers with performance experience as well as offering area residents exposure to the arts!
